Come Campaign Time, How Should Democrats Spend Their Money?
I'm talking about after we have a nominee.......I bring this up because we are not going to come close to the war chest of Bush, well stocked by all his filthy cronies who are the great beneficiaries of his regime. We have to make a billion-dollar ball gown out of a few bolts of cloth found on the "remnant" sale. How do you propose the DNC and the candidate spend it effectively???????

1. Spend it all on get out the vote efforts in swing states.
Plus, lots and lots of advertising to attack Bush on the economy, healthcare, social security, education and national security.

2. Staff in EVERY state that has a hairballs chance of winning!
plus resources to mount a real campaign and organize EVERY democrat in all states to put the pressure on him.

I dont mean lots of money, but enough to run a decent campaign and keep the pressure on Bush.

3. I'm beginning to think there are certain states we have to "abandon"

I know that if we do that other Dems running in such states are at a disadvantage. But, I think priority #1 has to be to get the Bush regime out and deal with the repuke Congress (and I'm afraid it still will be ) later. We need a certain degree of campaign money in "sure" states; squat in "foregetaboutit" states where they wouldn't vote for a Dem if they found out he was Jesus Christ; and really pour money into critical states which are close. And...then I think we need Graham to help take Florida (as a VP nominee). AND---start praying now that the repukes don't get their hands on CA with this recall thing because they will pull a "Florida" once they get their hands on the voter rolls, etc. (could use a little money spent there right now).
