When even a Limited Hangout is much too much: BushCo and 9/11
This weeks developments saw sworn public testimony about many interesting topics. A few of the issues raised include:

Why wasn't NORAD scrambled to intercept on 9/11? If they were, who authorized it (hint, I bet it wasn't *Bush, which is a no-no)?

Who was running the Situation Room? Lynne Cheney????

Why was the Bin Laden family flown out on 9/12? Who authorized it?

What was in Bush's August 6th briefing?

What the hell did Bunnypants do on 9/11 and 9/12, anything? Was he "in the loop"?

Was Condi a deer in the headlights?

Did Powell have to beg the neocons not to invade Iraq on 9/11?

-------------------------------------

The specifics of LIHOP and BushCo come closer and closer to light.

I think we may have already seen it begun. I never thought these questions would go further than Michael Moore. There are no reasonable answers for any of these questions. None.

Come, throw some logs on the fire with me. Everybody needs the light.

1. I'm surprised we aren't hearing more about Lynne Cheney being there.
Can you IMAGINE how the freepers would be acting if something like this had happened under Clinton and Hillary had been anywhere in the same county?

2. Billary in the War Room would have driven them to swallow their tongues
to quote Joey Biden, "they would have ripped her skin off"

12. I still can't get over Lynne in the Situation Room
if this gets in the press, people will really shake their heads and ask who is in charge here?

answer: not bush.

13. Shouldn't she be called to testify?

It seems to me Lynne should be called to testify before the comission if she was in the situation room when it all went down. I don't think she would be able to hide behind executive privelige.

3. I'm with you. I never thought 9/11 would get this airing.
But the specific, troubling questions researchers have been compiling for years are still not being asked in a mainstream US forum, let alone being answered.

4. i think these questions alone will sink them, if answered
the simplest questions were always the meat of the issue. there has been much muddying of the water as far as 9/11 theories go, but these are the most salient questions.

if they ever broach the "simulation" cheney was running coincidentally on 9/11, we know MIHOP is breaking...

5. Roger that, Minstrel Boy!
Troubling questions, indeed. Tonight on 60 Minutes, Ed Bradley let Condo Lizard Reissssssssss prattle on about "nothing could have been done."

He passed on a great opportunity to ask why military interceptors were not sent up immediately when those hijacked airliners went off course and did not respond to radio calls.

6. I thought Powell threw Wolfowitz overboard in his interview
He acknowledged that Wolfie was agitating for Iraq invasion on 9/12. He said it softly but he said it.

7. Did the simulated crash exercise that was planned
for that morning affect the air traffic controllers or NORAD or any part of the national security apparatus in any detrimental way. Either by slowing down any response to an actual threat or hamstringing some agency's SOP. Minstrel Boy had a very interesting thread about this yesterday. Very interesting stuff!

8. link to the "simulation" thread:

So many honest questions - why aren't they being asked? Why is Zelikow not calling the witnesses and whistleblowers the 9/11 families have requested?

Rhetorical questions, obviously.

15. And, why the unprecedented 1 month vacations?
Edited on Mon Mar-29-04 02:48 AM by Must_B_Free
For both Bush and Cheney? And why did neither return to stay in DC even after the 1 month vacation was over?
