Heard Rummy say that 'any nation has a right to defend itsself.'
This,of course, was in response to a question about the Israeli assassination of the Hamas spiritual leader.

My question is, didn't Iraq have a right to defend itsself then? Doesn't every Arab nation have a right to have weapons to defend itsself? If assassinating leaders we don't like is acceptable, then don't other nations have the right to attack us and assassinate our leaders? What kind of convoluted, doublespeak is this? Why must we sanction every horrible thing that Israel does? Don't Palestinians have a right to defend themselves too?

1. I guess that Iraq had a right to defend itself
when we invaded, right?

6. They sure did,
what they didn't have was the ability. But then we have the right to defend ourselves against those trying to kill us, even if we invaded. That's what makes war hell.

4. Humanity is corrupt
Why did we entrust power to the dregs of the world?

What's the point of having a "self-governing" society when we're anything but?

It's all more proof that the US is a Hypocracy. (That's "democracy" and "hypocrisy" amalgamated. Not a misspell.)

7. You're right of course. But the unstated assumption in Rummy's remarks
is that the usual rules don't apply to the US, which is, as everyone knows, good and pure and completely beyond questioning.
