I don't hate Republican voters
I hate Republican candidates. I might even sometimes hate Republican activists (though with less vigor). But I don't get mad if somebody tells me he or she has voted for/will vote GOP/Bush. And here's why.

If I get all pissed off, I will probably lose a friend as well as a vote. Would you vote fundie if some Freeper started blasting off at you? I would be even more enraged at the fundies (as I have become). Same logic (except we're the good guys).

So I would urge you all to keep this in mind for the election. Bush and his campaign are the enemies, not their passive supporters. Their supporters just need to be shown the light.

Look at it this way, a majority of Kerry supporters now supported Bush after 9/11 (as deduced from polls). Reasonable people can be conned.

1. Don't hate any voters.
Just try to get them to take the red pill instead of the blue pill.

3. I do
If someone can WILLINGLY look at what's been going on, and still reject it, they are no longer being fooled. They are complicit.

5. I can't hate Republicans
because my oldest son is a fiscal republican. He makes a boatload of money and he sees the fiscal side of the republican party as the "right" side. We're quite close but we don't talk politics when we're together. He's a fine kid......I made it too easy on him....I believe.

7. Just curious, aside from the "tax cuts help me be richer" thing,
does the runaway deficit spending concern him in the least?

9. The fiscal side
...is the right side? They've bankrupted the country. Whats fiscally conservative about that? If he wants to live like Republican's pontificate...then he should vote Democrat....as my father would say.

6. I save my hate
..and use it wisely. I don't hate the poor people who are working hard and trying to feed their kids and falling farther behind and relying on televised news to tell them what they need to know every evening, just like their high school history books said it would.

I save my outrage for lazy journalists, thug writers who have hired themselves out for the highest dollar to spew lies, and damn the country they live in; political "operatives" in both parties who caution candidates never to tell people the unvarnished truth; hack advertisers who take the chance to cash in by telling lies instead of selling soap; echo chamber talking heads who endlessly repeat the Big Lie without ever thinking about what it means to the country; hack politicians who are so fearful that they may have to work for a living that they sell their souls to their sick leadership and betray every person who ever cast a vote for them; greedy corporate pigs who now find themselves so far above the law that they laugh at it and anyone who obeys it.

No, the ordinary working person really doesn't have much of a chance, not when the kids are hungry and the laundry needs to be done and the lawn needs to be mowed and the oil in the car changed and maybe I can catch 15 minutes of the nightly news before dinner and oh gawd there's another terrorist alert, hope the kids will be OK in school. Nah, these folks aren't the enemy. They're the victims.

End of rant
