The Louisiana Legislature
State Senator John Hainkel (R) filed a bill to designate February 6th as ronald reagan day in the state to honor one of america's "greatest" presidents. The bill would not require state offices to close.

Another bill would require the American Flag and the words God Bless America to be painted on top of the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.

Also during the session, State Teachers were told to be patient, that they would not be getting a raise anytime soon.

And, by the way, it was noted that the right wing of the state republican party has taken over the leadership of the party.

...like peace and prosperity are just around the corner for Louisiana....maybe I should think about moving there.

*opps...it's not April 1 yet!
