Court Opens Door To Searches Without Warrants
http://www.theneworleanschannel.com/news/2953483/detail.html

NEW ORLEANS -- It's a groundbreaking court decision that legal experts say will affect everyone: Police officers in Louisiana no longer need a search or arrest warrant to conduct a brief search of your home or business.

Leaders in law enforcement say it will keep officers safe, but others argue it's a privilege that could be abused.

The decision was made by the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Two dissenting judges called it the "road to Hell."

1. Looks like the Imperial Corrupt Judiciary is having the same effect
on America as the Nazification fo the Judiciary had on Germany.

And that Bill of Rights was a stupid, liberal idea that is long past time to be put to rest.

I am unceratin America can be saved or restored.

As with Imperial Rome, it may be that the Rubicon, once crossed, can never be re-crossed back again.

DOES THIS MEAN I'M GIVING UP? HELL, NO!

2. More searches stories
I heard on the news this a.m. that a house in California had been raided by police looking for pot plants due to the fact that their electricity bill was so high! Turns out they just had lots of applicances and computers that they used all the time. Imagine this: someone is looking at your utility bills and that is cause enough for a raid?

4.  they've been doing this for years
The only thing I saw unusual about this story was the amount of the utility bill -- $200 to $300. In many areas, this would be a LOW utility bill. Indeed, when I had a unlicensed hot tub quietly installed in my backyard, it wasn't unknown for the electric bill even a cheap area like this one to get to $200 in summer what with A/C in the house and the four person hot tub in the backyard.

If $200 a month is considered probable cause, then most any of us who live in single family dwellers are at a fair to huge risk (depending on the area) of being raided.

Now when someone is getting billed $80,000 a month in a supposed residence (as in one case I saw a couple years back), fine, we can all agree that something is wrong there, either unlicensed business or drug manufacturing/growing or what have you.

But $200 a month is just a normal bill for many all-electric households, really.

5. Fifth Circuit covers Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi
Lots of lovely EXTREME RWers on the bench there.

At least the dissent was strong.

Hell, we didn't need the fourth (?)amendment to the constitution anyway. Who cares about "unreasonable searches" or the right to be "secure in our homes". That's all just a bunch of communistic "civil rights" stuff anyway. /sarcasm
