List of DC area UNION Grocery Stores (in case of strike)
FYI: in preparation of a possible grocery store strike at Giant and Safeway, here is the list of stores that sell groceries in the DC area which are and are NOT union. This was in the Post today, March 29, p. E5.

1. Whole Foods (Free range HQ) is non Union?
I wonder how many Free range shoppers know this.

3. FYI, I remember when unions targeted Whole Foods here
And the employees said they didn't need a union because they're pay and benefits were good enough already.

2. Thanks for posting, and don't forget...
If the union calls a strike, it'll only be Safeway and Giant that are affected. In other words, the other union grocery stores should still be open.

There is also the possibility that the union will continue negotiating after Tuesday. I'll be looking at the news before I leave work Tuesday.

And does anyone know whether Trader Joe's and Rodman's are unionized?
