One of the most disgusting Freeper quotes I've ever seen
I know that's lots of competition, but still:

We need muslim internment camps, and now. WWII intelligence officers will tell you that 10% of the Japanese in this country were saboteurs and spies, supported by the other 90% who were in Japanese cultural organizations. If they had not been interned, the West Coast airplane factories would have been blown to smithereens. Note that American rights were not trampled by the creation of these internment camps, and the occupants of them were treated far better than the Chinese in Nanking. When the war was over, they were released, including the parents of Sochio "Norman" Minetta, suspected saboteurs.

4. We're all immigrants here
He should be reminded that America is a melting pot, and that civil liberties are not just reserved for some. If that were the case, the Native Americans would put all of the rest of us in internment camps

19. Well, I've seen posts on FR calling for voting to be restricted to
property owners only for the upcoming election.

So, really, nothing coming from there surprises me anymore.

6. Historical side note.
The Japanese weren't the only placed in camps. There were also German American and Italian American camps as well.

7. American rights weren't trampled?
As I recall from my 7th grade history class (a grade I'm assuming Mr. Freeper didn't attain), many of the internees were American citizens. Um, I think those America rights were indeed 'trampled'.

11. Korematsu
I'm guessing he's relying on the propoganda and racisms that led to the Supreme Court's horrible ruling in Korematsu v. US. I'm also guessing that he's completely ignorant to the fact that the US government in 1988 admitted that the Japanese-Americans who were interned during WW2 posed no danger of spying or risk to security.

10. they were treated better than the Chinese in Nanking
This is from the people who are always screaming about liberals' "moral relativism"

Gee, as long as we're not as bad as THE WORST, then we're fine!

I never let my kids get away with that. These fascists are disgusting. I'm sure some corporation, like Halliburton would make a fortune building all these friendy "internment camps" too.

12. A little history
There were no interment camps in Hawaii, this was only done on the mainland. I'm not much of a historian but I don't think there was any sabotage by ethnic Japanese in Hawaii during the war.

We treated Japanese-Americans better than the Japanese treated the Chinese in Nanking?

Is that something to be proud of? To hold up as 'they didn't have it so bad'?

Yeesh. American rights weren't trampled. They obviously think only WASP men are Americans.

I went over there, shame on me. It makes me so angry to read their stuff, as I'm sure it makes them to read ours. It really, really makes my stomach hurt to read the hate and ignorance... 1 post that made any logical sense in that whole thread. It makes me feel like any sort of resolution/progress is impossible in this country :(

17. How about the truth?
WWII intelligence officers will tell you that 10% of the Japanese in this country were saboteurs and spies

During the Second World War there were exactly ten people in the U.S. who were proved to be spies for Japan. Every one of them was Caucasian.

20. He would have been the perfect assistant to Hitler.
The Gestapo was made up of people like him.

Would he support internment camps for white supremacists? We'd have to control people like McVeigh, too.

And people like this participate in the political process! Scary.

21. Thought Criminals
Though most Muslims are of a certain skin color, he is talking about locking up people for their religion. So I don't think he would consider himself a racist. We may correctly see him as insane, but the path he took to crazy looks kosher to him.
