The drama began at 11:04PM, March 25, 2004 on LF when TBF posted a thread frantically seeking instructions on how to wipe his hard drive in DOS.

Then he followed up at 7:10AM on March 26 with a brief thread pointing the way to his internet bio, saying, "Being officially 'on the Lam', this is who I am."

Next, he posted another thread at 2:29PM on March 27 titled, "TBF: What Really Happened" and revealed the following:

All,

Yes, I was "outed" heavily, as being a CIA asset two nights ago, and have been running for my life.

Full details to come. I did destroy my computer hard-drive, and am out of Korea as we speak (well, am at the airplane terminal and my plane goes out in about 30 minutes....can't tell you where).

This has been the hairiest moment of my life. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack or stroke (truly). Am still a bit 'noid.

But I'm safe, and there's gonna be a MASSIVE, explosive article appearing in some very prominent places (for cash, finally) soon enough.

I'm a white hat, have run with the good guys since 1984, at the age of 20.

Finally, at 2:25PM on March 28, he posted another thread, and laid down the following guantlet to the world and his spook-pursuers:

All,

I am ready to bring down a House of Cards.

Firstly, let me say that I am willing and ready to take a polygraph examination, issued by FBI or any police agency or a privately-hired polygraph examiner, or, preferably, all of the above, to guarantee the veracity of my statements.

I have enough information on a certain few things to destroy the lives, careers and reputations of one current Congressman, one United States Senator, the entire Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, State Department; as well as one retired Congressman, two belated Congressmen, a former Governor; and the Council on Foreign Relations.

This I will guarantee under oath and under administered polygraph. Whatever it takes, I'm ready now to come clean.

I will be willing to be examined in a foreign country--not that of the United States or South Korea or Canada or Mexico.

I request the presence, during these examinations, of U.S. Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) (who is not involved in any of my affairs or secrets...I just want him there, as he is the only U.S. Government official who I trust) and either authors G. Edward Griffin or Alan Stang.

Somebody or some organization will, obviously, need to pay for these expenses. I will accept private assistance or that of any human rights organizations. I will not accept any financial assistance of the U.S. Federal Government (or any branch thereof) or any foreign government.

I have never traveled to a U.S.-restricted nation (North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq, et al.), nor have I ever worked for or accepted the services of any person or organization therein, nor have I ever transmitted information to any person or organization in the aforementioned restricted zones.

I am not guilty of espionage. I have never in my life knowingly been privy to classified information, nor have I ever sold or exchanged for services any secrets of the United States of America. I am not a traitor.

I have also never accepted a penny (no money, ever) from the Central Intelligence Agency nor any other Intelligence agencies, either foreign or domestic.

What I have done has been entirely voluntary, and in the service of the U.S. Constitution and specifically the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments).

I will testify to this under oath, so help me God.
