I've decided.... I LOVE KERRY!
I've been bouncing around the fact of getting behind either Kerry or Dean. Both I respoect greatly and enjoy hearing them talk.

But tonight I got to catch the C-span Town Hall meeting with Kerry with my dad. We agreed that this man has got the goods to win the presidency and would be amazing.

If anyone is still unsure about Kerry or unsure about the 9 canidates please do watch the C-span special. It will be re-aired at 8:25 eastern time.

I still do like Dean, and the other canidates minus Liberman (ugh), but Kerry has got it!! No I won't "get over it" but he has got a lot to bring and it's a shame he is being ignored.

1. I am watching now. He is great working the crowd. Warm,
inquisitive. And his speech was very authoritative.

He's got the vet vote wrapped up - among others.

2. Kerry
He does look "presidential"
He speaks with authority
I have listened and watched a lot of his speaches and he
is fantastic
Like you I do respect Dean, but I dont think he really can beat
Bush, and that is what we need.
DEFEAT BUSH

JOHN KERRY PRESIDENT 2004

I'm still undecided between three candidates, however. It'll be interesting to watch Dr. Dean tomorrow for comparison.

edit: Title fix

5. I love Kerry...
He's got my vote. He's warm, articulate, and he has an impeccable political history. I don't agree with his vote for this war. But, I like the way in which he discusses that the reconstruction and the approach to the war were disasters. That's the way to hit the issue for the average American. I also noted that he discussed a lot about the economy and the difficulties of the American worker. It's the economy, stupid.

8. Agreed
I was very against the war on Iraq as it was a glaring desperate move for Bushco to get some more photo ops.

But I do like how Kerry backs up his vote by saying how wrong it was for Bush to just go it alone. I think he has a popular message to say it's good Sadam is gone but why the hell did we alienate all our allies in the process.

7. Someone asked Kerry about "dean-mania"
and he dodged the question. I wonder when he's going to hit Dean. Kerry's strategy seems to be to ignore him.

30. I think he won't bash Dean...
but, I can just see some issue ads from others that will. Gun control groups, environmental groups that fought Yucca and Sierra Blanca, or some civil rights groups that probe his past comments on the type of judges he has said he'lll appoint.

Negative re-inforcement of your opponents while conducting a poll is push-polling.

Kerry? What exactly was so special? What am I not seeing or hearing? For crying out loud, he has absolutely NO expression on his face--NONE! I'll have to watch it again because I missed the beginning, but did he even smile once?

22. Kerry is the best candidate
Ina lla round experience...

He has been a public prosecutor,
Lt Governor of Massachusetts
And long serving senator.

He has ALWAYS pushed bills for reform and increased services avalable in Health Care, Labor, Civil Rights, and Education, has always gotten more of what he wanted than any other candidate. He has a proven record of KEEPING his word, and not making promises and then failing to keep them.
We wanty someone who has a proven record of sucess, rather than someone who promises programs only to then cut them.

I'm sorry, I really tried.

Too scripted. And everytime he says, "ladies and gentlemen", I feel like I'm at the circus.

He's talking about not regulating corps- regarding the spread of Walmart---how about anti-trust to control monopolies?

...as I am about a president being unable to get his programs past Congress. I don't know all I should about Kerry's track record in this regard, but a senator surely has more skill, no?

34. Kerry is the man

I wish he was a little more charismatic, fun, goofy..whatever, BUT...

He has fought dilligently for the things that matters to Democrats. He hasn't merely voted a certain way, he has spoken out, taken leadership, lead fillibusters...

Kerry's history and experience serving this country only lends to the importance that, if he is nominated, that he be elected the 44th president of our country.

A very Conservative friend of mine says Kerry is the ONE MAN on the Democratic list he fears the most.

Kerry voted on one issue I was not happy about, but I can find no other viable candidate that is even close to him on the core issues of the Democratic Party (capital punishment, choice, civil rights, environment, guns, law and order).

I would watch a Kerry/Bush debate like it was Monday Night Football.
