Need Help - Re: Walmart
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 07:27 PM by Kimber Scott
My sister-in-law just called. She works in a doctor's office. She said the whole office is Republican, but for some reason (many reasons) they hate Walmart. When she told one of the doctors about Walmart's political contributions to the GOP, he told her if she could prove it, he'd register Democrat! So, help me out, please? Does anyone have a link I can use to verify they are the second largest contributor to the GOP? I heard it on CNN a couple months ago, but can't find a link.

Thanks.

2. Thank you, but are there more recent figures?
I specifically remember CNN (I've searched the CNN site) saying Walmart has "suddenly" become the nation's second largest contributor to the GOP. Were they relying on these figures, I wonder? It seems it was more recent than that. Maybe this was it.

Thanks, a bunch!

3. If I can jump in....
it's possible that the "2002 Election Cycle" numbers are the latest available. Some stats I'm finding from the FEC were released June 2003.
