I have a house full of anti-Bush books.

If he wins this election should I destroy them?

1. NO!!!! Save them as reminders that we must support John Kerry....
throughout his Presidency. Remember, those horrible people mentioned in those books are the ones who will be trying to destroy President John Kerry.

2. Would it not be dangerous to keep them?
Burning them might be the best thing?

5. They could be used against me.
You have to assume that they will be ferreting out those who have that type of book.

4. Win or loose, destroy them...
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 09:15 PM by whistle
...On second thought if he looses you can use them in your fireplace because the truth will come out in just one book. If he wins, well use them as fodder and throw them as any freeper or neo-con that crosses your path.

6. Let's start a "Bush Presidential Library"
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 09:17 PM by TorchesAndPitchforks
filled with anti-Bush books. It'll be bigger and far more accurate than the one he'll build after he finally gets the boot!

9. I am saving them for my grandchildren
I have no idea whether they will be interested in reading them - but I want my grandchildren (when they become old enough and experienced enough in the ways of the world) to know where I stood politically and idealogically at this time.

I come from a long line of liberal activists, (especially the women in my family and going back to the revolutionary war) - so I feel like it's a sort of family legacy, and I hope my grandaughter will also find her way to the right side of the important causes that will be at the forefront of her time. I wish I had some of the literature and pamphlets from my grandmothers and great-grandmothers times.

10. There was a time in this world where you could not read or own
certain books. Do you not think that is still possible?

12. Still possible?
We have school districts in America in the 21st century still banning literary classics such as "Of Mice and Men"!

11. Send them to friends in Europe
Or copies, anyway. So that those books will survive somewhere.
