Did anyone notice Kean's winking attitude when he said
Bush would be present with Cheney in case Cheney needed some help with his answers? :eyes:

If Bush's idiocy is a joking matter among Republicans, why the hell is it taboo to be upfront about it in the media? Shouldn't Americans be told that one of the candidates for the top job in the government is a moron? Isn't that a useful piece of information?

3. The Whole Smug/Smirking Clubby Commission
has been annoying from day 1. The THOMPSON guy is an insufferable partisan, yesterday told Tweety to "turn the screws on" CLARKE in today's Hardball appearance. They've been yukking it up all along, with occasional "serious reminders" about 9-11. And on this topic, the reporter asked the other way - why allow Shrub-CHEENEE to appear together giving the possibility that CHENNEE would help Shrub with the answers ----------and KEAN turned it around in his answer.

5. Thompson is revolting!
I can't stand stand what he does with his mouth after each sentence--which would ordinarily be a trivial consideration, but I think it represents something about his personality, this revulsion of his own for the unvarnished truth.

4. The Republicans should be dying of embarassment...

that Bush can't testify without Cheney beside him. Surely, the comics will have a field day with this. And the media? It should be a BIG story, that the WH can't risk Bush testifying alone. Hello, America -- George W. Bush is a know-nothing fraud!

6. I can't think of a single administration in which the "president"
needed the veep so desperately. Would Gore and Clinton have testified together? Would Bush and Quayle? Reagan and Bush? Carter and Mondale? Etc.? Etc.? Etc. ad infinitum?
