and Thom Hartmann's show is a really good one. I'll give Franken a few more days, but if it doesn't get any better, I'll be going back to listening to Hartmann live (gonna try to take in the archived shows for Hartmann while listening to Franken's next few shows).

19. well, if a show sucks, it sucks & the Franken Factor was boring
bring on Randi Rhodes. She will produce, although I don't know if it will be the first few shows, but am looking forward to hearing her.

and, like I said in thread #3, Franken's show was real disappointing and boring. It will just serve to make the right-wingers right about "left talk radio."

Please Please Air America ... take a stand and put MIKE MALLOY on the air.

I thought Franken's show sucked. It was real boring. And, not informative. It completely lacked any discussion of the day's current new stories and how those stories affect the normal person. There was no discussion as why those news stories are important to people of America and so forth. I could have seen a real good discussion of Iraq with the killing, burning, dragging through the streets and the hanging from the bridge of the civilians and AMerican soldiers in Iraq today. Not much on that though.

their contact/email page doesn't work at all.

we complain about a lack of 'exit strategy' but there seems to be a lack of 'entrance strategy' happening here.

24. I was worried about this...
...Franken can be very slow sometimes when he's telling a story or making a point.

AND...he's easily distracted to something else.

He's not quick-tongued. I hope that having a co-host helps compensate for that.

17. Al and Katherine make a very complimentary team!
They seem to work well off each other...Katherine is a little smoother in her delivery than Al, and Al is funnier than Katherine! They have a great rapport....I think this show is a HIT!!!!

I liked the Franken show. The laid back format reminds me of Fresh Air on NPR, which many find "boring", but Franken is easy to listen to at work. He had good guests today - and it's only going to get better. If you're looking for a Malloy, forget it. Different strokes.

I'm a Malloy fan. I love his flash and attitude and want him to join the airamerica team.

Human beings are capable of some 16,000 different tasks. The best of us, those who are truly gifted, can do perhaps 200 of those tasks passably well. We are all, therefore disabled.

There is no real challenge to finding the 15,800 tasks at which any one of us is incompetent. The challenge is to finding and appreciating the tasks at which each of us may excel.

In Shrub's case it is going back to TX and staying in the background as an ex-President. The sooner, the better.

In Al Franken's case it's writing skits about locking Ann Coulter in his green room! ROFL!
