that was one of the first times I ever turned off KPBS here in San Diego in disgust. the softballs being lobbed at Hughes clamped my valve shut in anger.

Cripes!! The way I remember it he looked like a deer in the headlights, went back to Story Time and then was hidden for a long time while they typed the script. What the hell did he do to "carry us through?" God!! Ridiculous...

11. You're right!
After he left FL, very little was heard about where he was or what he was doing. I even heard a couple of TV commentators ask during the day of Sept. 11 "where is the pResident?" If recollection serves, he wasn't heard from til late that night!

Tried to contrast it with the "political gossip books" on the market.

15. I LOVE the timing of KKKaren's book!
It will never sell as many copies as Clarke's, and I predict hers will be in the bargain bins within 2 months, tops.

You can bet she and BushCo were spitting nails over the Clarke book's timing, since KKKaren's propaganda piece will never be able to compete.

18. I personally have no problem with this puff piece
of fellatio disguised as a book coming out now. I didn't hear Terry's show, but I'm glad she said something. It just seems to me that no matter when a liberal's book gets printed, there is always some reason for the moron media or the WH itself to say it came out at that particular time for some suspect reason.

20. The Daily Show appearance was fantastic.
Jon had difficulties, and appeared visibly uncomfortable, with Hughes.

When she suggested that the Democrats in Texas were at least willing to work with then-Governor Bush, Jon erupted in laughter.
