And yet another pollution debacle in Florida.....near Tampa.
This is perhaps scarier than the barge that will harm the Keys.

SNIP......"Florida's biggest environmental embarrassment of the moment -- a barge hurriedly dumping waste water from an abandoned phosphate plant in Manatee County into the Gulf of Mexico -- may soon be overshadowed by another phosphate fiasco, this time in eastern Hillsborough County.

Federal, state and local officials are investigating complaints about Coronet Industries, a company that operates a 100-year- old facility in Plant City where phosphate is processed for use in animal feed.

As the Tampa Tribune has reported in recent weeks, high levels of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead and other carcinogens have been found at the plant........"END SNIP

I will continue to post about these Florida outrages, though I know the interest in reading them is not that much. I am posting in case someone reads it and realizes what a horrible mess this state is in.

I search Google daily, and only a few state papers cover it. No national media.

Florida is pretty well doomed, eh?

Google: Save Our Springs.

Save Our Springs has been fighting to save natural Fla, for a while now. They could use some help. Check out the website.

Good luck with all those chemicals. I understand there's even a bit of Yellowcake about. Right?

2. Compare Jeb Bush's "environmentalism" to
Lawton Chiles'. I don't think concern for the environment has ever been a high priority in Florida.
Florida is a real estate man's dream.

3. God, we miss Lawton Chiles!
That ole He-Coon. I loved that guy. I often wonder about his death, so sudden and all. I did not say that, did I?
