So California DUers... are you the ONLY people in the state
who are not filing papers to run for Governor?

1. I actually thought about it
I've got a month off. Figured I could gather 10k signatures and get on for free. Then I thought about it and figured if I have that much free time, I should do something more productive with my time.

:)

8. I was tempted too
I mean, how often do you get the chance to run for Governor?

The ballot would be a cool souvenir.

15. Backdoorman
That was just a joke....I don't like this recall, the man
who paid for it, or frankly the pigs at the trough who are
running via the back door. Gray's not a hugger and he often
doesn't consult with others, but that doesn't mean you run
end round an election and the people's will to recall a
governor who hasn't risen to the level of crimes and misdemeanors.

I'd say that some of those running against him have
arrest records, shady backgrounds and less chance of
winning in a formal election.

Bring em on, because they all have a lot to lose...
losing your reputation...priceless.

6. I'm sticking with Gray
Imagine the rethuglican "Morans" sifting through an estimated 100+ candidates to find Riordan or Huffington. I think most of them will stop at Flynts name cause they "read" his magazine a lot.

11. I thought about it...
... but coming up with $3500 or 10k signatures when I don't really intend to seriously campaign (I'd rather have Dems unite behind a candidate who's likely to win than try to get 'em to vote for me) just didn't seem worthwhile.

BTW, if you choose to run as a 3rd party candidate, you only need 150 sigs to waive the $3500 requirement... but they all hafta be from ppl registered with that party. You can, of course, register voters then have them sign your nomination papers...
