I emailed Helen Thomas a few days ago regarding her Birthday.

I wrote:
Thank you for being the only journalist around that is actually doing their job. God bless you for all the good that you have done. You are admired and loved.

Happy Birthday Helen.

She wrote back:

I did not expect that she would write back and am thrilled that she took the time to reply considering her busy schedule.

I just thanked her. Really similar to just what you said and she wrote me back saying -- Thanks. That's it, one word but I told everybody we were email buddies :)
