I have an issue with Kerry
Now to start off I am an ardent Dean supporter, and if he fails to get the nomination I will have no problem voting for Kerry. In fact I should be proud to vote for the senator over Dumbya. However, there is something about the way Kerry delivers his speeches that is in stark contrast to Dean's more blunt approach. I do not want to say anything negative neccesarily...but there is something VERY off-putting in the manner that Kerry delivers all of his messages. It's not that he lacks energy, because he can be quite powerful at times. It's not a failure to choose words wisely, because his delivery is very clean and polished when all is said and done. But it's that senatorial something that makes him lack that "shine" that makes me want to back him. Does anybody have a clue as to what I am saying..cause I kind of don't but really need you guys to help me pinpoint my issue with Kerry. Thanks so very much you guys, in advance.

2. Maybe monotonous?
Even though I don't think he's monotonous....
He may not be as fiery as Kucinich or Dean, I will admit to that.

3. It's called
Boooooring!

Otherwise known as: YAWN

Sorry, but he puts me to sleep . Especially after listening to Dean so many times whose rhetorical style is crisp and to the point.

4. Perhaps!
Although I dont quite think it may be the whole thing that I just can't figure out..I guess when you juxtapose Kerry to Dean...well , Dean is just a lot more fun!

8. Some politicians can become overly polished...
...to the point that what they say reads much better than it sounds.

This is a liability that I think may tend to afflict anyone who knows what s/he says will be quoted in hundreds of newspapers, or placed in a permanent legislative record that can later be dredged up by opponents for negative ads. Being a senator will do that to you.

10. It's because he's not speaking what he feels
You could pretty much, in advance, write an exact script of what you will be hearing Kerry say in his speeches. You know it's going to be safe AND considerate of current public opinion. With Dean, you can expect the unexpected. He's going to tell you what's right for you whether you want to hear it or not.

6. Kerry should just be Kerry.
I thought he did well during the debate. I'm not sure what we can do about the patrician aura he exudes, or whether such changes are desirable.

7. I only have 3 issues with Kerry...
His war vote, Patriot Act vote and Homeland Gestapo vote. Other than those 3 issues...I would have voted for him...but not now.
