Bush is NOT going to cause/allow another terrorist attack
can we please put this speculation to rest?

It won't help him this time. It'd just allow the Dem candidate to prove just how weak he is on national security, and how all the crap he made and Asscroft's shredding of the Bill of Rights have amounted to nothing. First time people will rally around him. Now they'll rally against him.

Another terrorist attack, and Bush is toast.

1. We already had another attack.
There was a bombing in Saudi Arabia a few months ago and a Marriott was blown up yesterday.

2. No, it'll probably be an assassination attempt next time.
A few weeks before the election. By a gay, pro-choice, anti-war activist.

3. I'm not too sure about that
He has the Patriot Act and FEMA. He can cause, allow or execute a terrorist attack so that he can invoke martial law.

4. A Red Alert means people are
"encouraged" to stay home. How will they get to the polls?

5. Correct about the result of an attack. I dunno if he can control it.
I suspect Osama (Joe Sixpack sayin "Oh, hey! We beat that sucker in Iraq, right!") has something up his sleeve designed to embarass the boy prince mightily.

As you say, if it happens, I don't see the USA rallying around the hag this time.

Just like the shrubster said: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me... ah... They... Don't they have... They have a saying here just like they do... ah... You shouldn't fool me."

6. Stopping a terrorist
...is better for Shrub than a terrorist attack.

I agree with the original post...no new attacks.

11. I Hope You Are Right...
...and I wish I could believe that you are.
But how else can they push through Patriot II and expand the Crusade?
They *have* to MIHOP again. They may not wait until 2004.

Now that we've blown the lid on their black-box election scam,
they will have to declare martial law, and soon. They will need a
pretext, of course, something really big.
:nuke:

7. Not another attack here.
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 12:22 AM by bushwentawol
That would make Homeland Security an even bigger joke than it already is. However, I still see an attack on a military base or a ship overseas as something chimpy's handlers would try. Right now people are beginning to question why we're fighting in the ME. But an attack would get the masses to rally 'round the flag, driving chimpy and Rove home to victory in 11/04. It's damn near their only option.

8. if your premise were true
And there really were terrorists in the world who hate Bushco, wouldn't they pull out all the stops between now and the election to commit acts to prove that Bushco is inept?

Or do they hate America so much that want this buffoon to stay in power and finish the jobe he has only started (that is, the destruction of the USA)?

9. your second paragraph is pretty much correct
Al-Qaeda knows that Bush is doing more damage to the US than they ever could.

10. I've always said I'd be surprised if we had an election in 2004
because we're probably going to be told to stay home with duct tape over our windows.

Especially if the polls are NOT in Bush's favor.

I wouldn't put anything past these people. They've proved they have no respect for human life.
