11. Kerry answering jobs questions with great answers.....
Against the trade agreements (i guess they all would say that now).
But his tone was good.

Edwards voted for China entering WTO (news to me). Say's he voted against others...but China is a big one. Also hammering on tax cuts being given to large corps offshore.

employment? We spend more per capita for health insurance than any country in the world. We have to fix this system and provide coverage for everybody! There is enough money in the system to support a single payer system.

The other candidates will start asking that he be not allowed to participate in the debates. And frankly, I don't blame them. If he wants to make his OWN case that's fine, but spending all of his time attacking Dean or whoever else.

WAY OUT OF LINE.

108. Dick Gephardt
is coming off very well.

I liked the look on his face when Kucinich took off on his health plan.

Gephardt has a point. Folks that are insured like their plans;especially when their employer is paying for it.

I'm beginning to think that Kerry and Dean will destroy one another and Gephardt will be the beneficiary.

131. Yeah, the teacher's unions don't like it, but . . .
try explaining to the impoverished parents of children in a failing school district why they shouldn't have the opportunity to send their children to private schools.

I think what Lieberman said make sense -- try some pilot projects. Vouchers should be available only to poor children. None of the money for the vouchers should come from the public school budget. Try it for a few years and see what happens. The Democrats used to be the party of innovation. Personally, I'm willing to try anything to improve the quality of public education, especially for poor people. And who knows? Perhaps the best public education will turn out to be a publicly funded private education. I don't think we should be so intimidated by the teacher's unions that we aren't willing to try something new.
