Anyone hear word on today's Episcopal vote yet?
I know the vote's supposed to be wrapping up right about now. As a Catholic, I find this story very interesting.

3. Woah!
So does that mean the conservative side will initiate a new schism? How will the greater Anglican community react? Any thoughts?

6. Yeah...The investigation actually took about 10 minutes.

The man who was making the claim of "inapporpriate touching" said he was uncomfortable when, during conversation, Canon Robinson touched him on the forearm and the back. ...No homophobia there, huh?

The other charge was that Robinson had "connections" to a web site that has links to a porn site. Turns out he had in 1998 ended his ties to the group that last year established the web site.

I applaud the Episcopalians for what they are apparently about to do.
(***stands and gives rousing ovation***) :bounce:

on edit....a little grammar policing......and spelling too!..(its been a loooooong day!

7. Very proud to be an Episcop today....
As a group, we tend towards tolerance and openness. I simply cannot understand the passionate opposition this Bishop has drawn. Hopefully, tonight, we'll put this behind us and go onto the next stage.

I'm very pleased with them today---they were under enormous pressure internally and externally. I'm definitely proud of them all.

10. I saw Bishop Spong on FAUX at the gym
Even some very open minded people question Spong. He apparently occupies quite the fringe in the Episcopal church. Who better to set up as a straw man than a bishop considered to be at the fringe of a church? "This nut likes the gay priest...they must be bad." Tripe.

Another note: I moved to Tallahassee recently, and am in a quandry about FAUX news. i had to stomach it in Springfied at the gym-you cannot use a stairmaster without seeing it. Same at my NEW gym. Same at my laundromat. There are televisions along the cieling around the perimeter of the laundromat. They pipe the sound over the PA system. What is the FRIGGING DEAL? Incidently, the laundromat is where i first saw the "billboard story." The FAUX news anchors were ejaculating on themselves with glee. What a bunch of losers!!
