2. here's a thought
If you're interested in a genuine discussion, do a little more than demand that we discuss, without context, every blessed nation in Africa.

6. Then discuss it; don't just name countries
The issues surround sub-Saharan Africa are astoundingly complex economically, politically, socially, etc. Rather than just identify countries, as you've done repeatedly, raise specific questions, issues, and the like, e.g., relationship with South Africa, distinctions between the situation in Malawi and Lesotho as compared to Zimbabwe.

The issues are important, and certainly not seriously addressed by this administratin. But just naming a country is pointless.

7. I want to keep it open minded
so that people can say whatever they want about Africa.

9. Sub-Saharan Africa lies to the south of the Sahara Desert.
Many people live there. And animals. And it's far from Des Moines. And Budapest. If you leave ice cream out in the sun there, it will melt, eventually. It can be quite hot--especially near the equator.

Anything else? Or would you like to refine your subject a little?

11. "Do you have colored people in Africa?" (gwbush*)
or

"How come there are so many colored people everywhere I go?"

It could happen!?

It's probably true, anyway.

12. Are you gathering research for some class project or something?
Because you started threads on several other African countries, only saying "discuss."

Just curious.

13. Lilongwe is the capital
Former British colony, mostly rural/agricultural, has a pretty darn big hydroelectric plant that powers most of the small nation.

Lots of uranium there, too, though it's to difficult and remote to profitably mine right now.

14. Democracy used to be a big issue there 10 years ago
The Center for Voting and Democracy features a few articles from the early 1990s about how its first democratic elcetion in 1994 should be representative of all people: proportional representation, an easy-to-use ballot because of its low literacy rates, and lack of geographical districts.

I don't know how successful that democratic experiment was, though; Malawi is currently rated as partly free (3 on a scale of 1-7; 1 is best, 7 is worst), and in terms of social and economic performance it sucks, its GDP per capita after cost of living adjustment being the fourth worst in the world and its human development index being the 11th worst.
