Caller on Larry King gets in AWOL question
2nd to last caller on the transcript:

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0308/04/lkl.00.html

CALLER: MY question is for Senator Graham. I want to know why no one in the Democratic party is questioning the president's personal credibility because of -- first of all his illegal stock trade in Hark and Energy scandal. And second of all the fact that over a year in the national guard his last year, he was AWOL. To me, that doesn't make a military leader.

GRAHAM: I think there are a number of people, Democrats and Republicans and independents who are questioning the credibility of the president who took us to war on what is now proven to be and he should have known or he knew it at the time he spoke the words unreliable. I think the American people are also focusing on the fact that the president did not prepare us for what has happened in a post- war Iraq.

Did you hear the president say it was going to cost $1 billion a week?

Did you hear the president say, we might be losing one American a day.

Did you hear the president say we're going to be there for five years?

No. That's the reality. That was information that was withheld from the American people.

Anybody here willing to admit they called? Congrats to the caller for getting it on TV btw!!! I don't think we'll ever have an elected Dem willing to speak up on the issue though. Please prove me wrong. Here's a great column from fearless Greg Palast:

1. I saw that. He didn't answer the question!
The guy went AWOL. Why will nobody talk about it? It's almost, but not quite, OK to call him a liar, but deserter is still off limits. I don't get it.

2. Did anybody notice this statement?
Did KB slip up here? Hmmm...

KING: Senator Hutchison, what do you hear? (regarding the question: "But on the Iraq situation, and you're involved in intelligence, what do you hear about the hunt for Hussein?")

SEN. KAY BAILEY HUTCHISON (R), TEXAS: Well, we think that we are on his trail. We think that the capturing and killing, actually of the sons gave us a lot of information, and we -- our people think we will find him, and that it will be sooner rather than later, and all of us hope so.

3. Well, they sort of were captured.
In some apartment building or other. They were "trapped" per se.

4. Yeah I heard that too
I was thinking WTF?, we got a hell of a lot of info out of those two...yeah right.

I was howling at the set when she (KBH) had the nerve to say (re WMD) "We know he has them, he used them against the Kurds in the North..."

When did that happen? circa 1980's...and who gave them to him, as well as logistical suport to use them vs Iran?

7. Ya gotta give KBH a little slack
That poor thing living inside of that sack of skin and bones has only the tiniest of brains and can barely remember to repeat what she is told to say.

It's really pathetic. More pathetic is that she got elected.
