Of course.....reported by FAUX. The accuser is a right wing anglican who has been working against Robinson's election; apparently, after the vote to install Robinson, this dude reports that another Bishop tipped him off about the porn. But will not name that bishop. Oh, and apparently some other guy thinks Robinson touches him without regard to "boundaries"; this is transmuted into "inappropriate touching" which in the world of bad touching implies: molestation.....

Despicable!

MINNEAPOLIS — A controversial vote on whether to confirm the Episcopal Church's (search) first openly gay bishop was put on hold Monday afternoon after allegations of inappropriate "touching" and being affiliated with a youth Web site that had a link to porn emerged, a church spokesman said.

Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold (search), head of the Episcopal Church, released a statement announcing the delay as debate was about to start on whether to confirm the Rev. V. Gene Robinson (search) as New Hampshire's bishop.

"Churches are very sensitive to these issues. When charges are made against a priest of the church, it does trigger an almost automatic process," he said.

The allegations of inappropriate touching were e-mailed Sunday to Bishop Thomas Ely of Vermont, who was asked in the message not to consent to Robinson's election, Episcopal News Service reported. In the e-mail, a man who identified himself as David Lewis from Manchester, Vt., said Robinson "does not maintain appropriate boundaries with men."

Solheim said "some of the bishops have talked to the accuser" about the allegations.

Lewis wrote in the e-mail that he met Robinson at a church event "a couple of years ago" and "he put his hands on me inappropriately every time I engaged him in conversation."

I'm sorry, it's just that last night I stopped of at a sub shop to get dinner and they were blaring Faux. This report came on and I got to "enjoy" the ignorant fuc*ing comments of several of the patrions. I would have said something (I have spoken up in similar circumstances) but I had just seen a beautiful movie with my daughter and I did not want to spoil my mood.

Many have been the number of women made uncomfortable by "touchy feelie" guys who habitually put their arm around us or whatever, with no real cause.

But I don't recall too many of these guys ever making national headlines for the imposition.

is what this guy calls "inappropriate touching". Some men are so out of it if another man puts his arm around them or even touches their shoulder, they freak.

I heard the thing about the website and link (NPR explained they meant hyperlink, btw-wonder if Faux made that distinction?), which apparently was added only about a month ago, unknown to Robinson. Now I wonder if some of the right wingers were behind putting up the link!

Thinking people who have heard or seen Robinson would know that this guy is a sincere believer in his faith. And he realizes the implications for all homosexuals. If he had done anything inappropriate, I don't think he'd have allowed himself to be nominated for bishop.

This smear is just the work of homophobes, imho.

BTW, where does it say in the Bible that homosexuals can't marry? I've yet to find that anywhere.

He can't possibly be an upstanding citizen... He's gay. He's probably involved in a whole lot of freaky stuff that threatens 'family values.' He's probably a child molester to boot (Oh wait he's not a straight catholic priest).
