Does Ah-nold have a, um, 'zipper problem?'
Edited on Thu Aug-07-03 09:55 PM by TygrBright
I have been hearing entirely unsubstantiated rumors to the effect that Ah-nold is a Zipper Dropper on a scale that makes Mr. Bill and most of America's fleet of professional athletes look like celibate monks.

Anyone know the skinny on this?

I think it would be simply delicious if a whole fleet of Gennifer Flowerses, etc., started popping out of the woodwork to show off the notches on their lipstick cases. Frankly, it wouldn't bother me a whole lot -- I don't expect a vain, self-obsessed, hypermacho, ultraspoiled celebrity to keep it zipped, and I betcha anything you like that his spouse doesn't, either ('Fine, Arnie, just be darn sure you wear a rubber, and don't give any late-night car rides around the Chappaquiddick area, huh?')

But it would certainly present the GOPpie Spin Machine with some interesting dilemmas, wouldn't it?

I wonder if The Smut Merchant With a Heart can resist the temptation to open his Ah-nie file to the media. (Frankly, I'm betting he WILL resist the temptation, unfortunately... he seems to have a better sense of political decorum than 99.9999% of GOPpies and a good 70% of Dems.) If he sticks to fighting his campaign like a gentleman, can we count on someone else to keep Ah-nold's sleazy extramarital joyrides in the right media mailboxes?

curiously,
Bright

4. This idea SUCKS.
lol...no pun intended...anyway, I'd rather not see a candidate's sex life made an issue. Who cares who he screws? It just adds to the Jerry Springer Show atmosphere, fun to watch, but who would take anybody there seriously?

Look, powerful, intelligent people have huge sexual appetites. Hell, anybody that becomes very powerful is going to be able to get laid ALL the time. The ones that DON'T get laid enough, but are powerful, want to take over the world. Just look at Nixon, and Shrubbie, ASScroft and the rest....

But don't ask me to figure out Newt Gingrinch. Always had him pegged for a "gimp" from Pulp Fiction.

8. Appetite is one thing, behavior is another....
I have quite amazing "appetites" myself.

But I don't indulge them.

There are things called 'good judgement' and 'self-restraint,' and even 'common sense' that keep me from doing so.

FWIW, I do agree with you that Americans are way, way, WAY too focused on peoples' sexual choices and behaviors as indicators of how well they might serve the public as elected officials. There is very little real correlation, and certainly no causation, established. I, too, would like to see America discard its sick, prurient fascination with sexual practices outside a narrowly-defined, puritannical cultural norm as an element of electoral campaigns.

But the whole "good judgement and common sense" thing does ring some correlative bells in my head, and may do so in others'.

And I agree it's low and petty to enjoy payback, blowback, etc.

But frankly, I have written off the CA Goober Recall/Campaign as anything better than a total political freak show. I have some sympathy for the ordinary Californians who must suffer the consequences of this gargantuan folly (although not too much, since they pretty much brought the whole thing upon themselves by starting to mandate bread-and-circuses via Prop 13 all those many years ago.) But remember the old saying--

"If you can't be a Good Example, be an Awful Warning...."

At this point, the worse it gets, the more Awful Warning value it may have. The backlash it provokes may have far greater value than any attempts to make this idiot's carnival conform to canons of political good taste.

backhandedly optimistically,
Bright

10. You mean this NE story? or a newer one
ARNOLD'S MISTRESS

HIS SHOCKING 7-YEAR AFFAIR

For seven years, Arnold Schwarzenegger hid a mistress from his loving wife Maria Shriver -- and hours after learning The ENQUIRER discovered his sordid secret, "The Terminator" terminated his run for governor of California.

The brazen actor began his affair with former child actress Gigi Goyette when she was only 16 -- and even made love to her in the very same hotel where he was staying with "Dateline" star Maria.

A bombshell ENQUIRER investigation -- featured in our issue that hits the stands Friday -- has exposed the whole shocking story, including how the father of four hid the trysts from his family.

Several months ago the muscleman-turned-actor emerged as a leading Republican contender for governor of California -- but earlier this week, after we called his representative for comment, the star made a surprise announcement that he won't enter politics until his youngsters, ages 3 to 11, are older.

11. Babelfish is your friend
head on over to the Babelfish and feed it your URL.
Set the translation mode to German-->English and get a readable, but funky (kinda like Japanese car manual English) version of the original page.

13. Heh... I LOVE Babelfish
the translated excerpt is as follows:

Schwarzeneggers Terminata

Of Los Angeles - the Sex scandal of act ion star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 53 - seven years betrog it his wife Maria Shriver, 45, loud "national Enquirer" with Gigi Goyette, 42 (BZ reported). Now photos of the terminator-loved emerged.
They show the rather herbe beauty in the bikini and at Arnies side. Again and again it is to have met with it to wild Sex.
After the rumors arose, Schwarzenegger said good-bye for the time being as a potential California governor candidate. Official reason: It wants to reset the political ambitions, until its children are larger. Unofficially it is whispered that he would have been no longer portable after the newspaper report in the prueden America.

19. ROFLMAO!!!
"Prueden America indeed"

Seriously though, I think dems have to fight back with every tool we have and not let these pukes get away with their hypocrisy, we need a freaking patron, for crying out loud, a rich liberal who will pay to have people dig up dirt.

We are fighting for the life of this country and no less than that. All these arguments about morality are naive.

...'inserting' a carrot into a young woman at Carnival in Brazil -- six years after he married Maria Shriver. There have been several threads that mentioned this tonight. I think you can buy the video from Amazon.

Would that count?

Who exactly is going to start parading the Gennifer Flowerses et al?

What network would cover it?

There is no longer an "independent" counsel to facilitate the muckraking.

And there are no liberals who will spend like Mellon-Scaife to fund the muckraking in the first place.

The dude could have been banging dogs and cats up and down Sunset Boulevard 24X7 for the last three decades and no one will ever find out.

If you think we are going to defeat Arnold because he put the wood to a bunch of women who aren't his wife you can forget it.

Let's defeat Arnold because he's incompetent not because he's unfaithful.
