Congressional Black Caucus, Fox News Team Up for Debates

Thursday, August 07, 2003

BALTIMORE — The Congressional Black Caucus and Fox News Channel will hold two presidential debates on Sept. 9 and Oct. 26, leaders of the two groups announced Thursday.

The September debate will take place on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore, a historically black college. The second event will be held in Detroit. Both are sponsored by the CBC's Political Education and Leadership Institute.

1. Maybe they have something up their sleeve.
I mean up to no good....They will sabotage it somehow. Get our attention and pull a prank....

I really don't care who carries it....but who will be the moderator? I hope not O'Riley or Hannity....

My mind just races!!!!!

2. Is it too much to hope that some truth may actually filter through
to the Faux audience as a result of these debates?

4. This a bizarre
I can't help but think FAUX will somehow turn this into a spectacle to humiliate one or all of the candidates. Front-runners (Dean, Kerry etc.) will be especially hard hit by their parody. IMHO they might go lighter on Lieberman...what do you think?

5. It's a perverse form of racism
Showing their core that Dems must be associated with Blacks - and we all know how they really feel about minorities. It reinforces that "their" guy Chimpy is on the white's side. Faithful Faux viewers will not see any of the other Dem forums - thereby cementing this bias.
