Is that the way freepers think? It's probably just a matter of time until we hear the reasoning above. Everybody is out to get Dubya. Everything is "political" -- except when they do it. Then it is for the election of George W Bush in November. Everything else is secondary.

I can see some of them saying that they are doctored photos created by computer geeks corrupted by Clinton. Or that the Iraqis deserved it because Saddam Hussein blew up the twin towers.

But it's pretty clear what the apologists are going to say, which is basically that it's okay for Americans to stoop to any level in our "war against terror."

In their own small way, the MPs in those photos were acting out the George W Bush fantasy of subjugation and power. And thinking you could do something bad and stupid and not get caught, and to not be able to comprehend the consequences of your actions. A lot more people are going to die on both sides as the results of their fun little frolic softening up the prisoners. As Will Pitt observed earlier today -- if it was Americans in those photos, we'd be exercising the nuclear option. But Muslims worldwide have to just understand that every Army of Liberation has a *few* bad apples. Sure.

I worked there for a few months in the 1990's. I can tell you the three democrats in that county are all over 80 and don't live in Ft. Ashby.
