WND writer falls totally off the deep end.
"Traitor?"

Somebody get this guy on medication, fast.

And give Joseph Farah a kick in the ass for letting this jerk post such drivel.

Jim McDermott: Traitor

Posted: April 30, 2004
1:00 a.m. Eastern

Congressman Jim McDermott is a traitor. I told him so myself on a Seattle radio station just prior to the Iraq war after the seven-term Democrat blatantly sided with Saddam Hussein instead of the United States. On Tuesday, McDermott's hatred of America and America's God surfaced once again as he led the Pledge of Allegiance on the floor of Congress minus the words "under God."

1. Hahahaha this is funny.
Upon his return from Baghdad, McDermott addressed an anti-American rally at downtown Seattle's Denny Park, continuing his diatribe against Bush and justice. I was one of several counterprotesters on hand, armed with my American flag to make known my reservations about the despicable career of Baghdad Jim.

I think I've learned that there'll always be some arch-conservatives that'll have access to a printing press, so I don't get so upset about the more fringe cases anymore. Ann Coulter, yes, I'd get upset about because she gets on the mainstream talk shows. But this guy, I don't think I'd ever heard of until now.

2. WorldNet Daily and the Deep End
If you fall off the deep end, WorldNet Daily is what you see just as you hit bottom. Thus WND writers cannot fall off the deep end.

4. Hans is outraged
A citizen has forgotten to give proper homage to God in government. My mother remembers reciting the pledge in its original form, and then being forced to add the words "under God," and even as a Christian, wondering, why? I suppose it is possible that McDermott forgot, although it doesn't seem likely. Still to jump down his throat is just sick and scary.

Somewhere, somehow, we've been transported to a parallel universe. And it sucks hard.

5.  "America's God"????

Is this "America's God" different from "Canada's God", or
the "United Kingdom's God"?

It's this kind of mindless stock phrases that sometimes
has me convinced that "God", for many people, was created
in their own immage.

Why can't we let God do God's work and deal with each other
as equals rather than act as some drone who "thinks" he is
doing the will of the Creator.

It must be very nice to have a book or a self-appointed
"holy man", and I emphasize the word man, tell you what
to do, rather than figure things out for yourself.

6. Drivel
Edited on Fri Apr-30-04 11:25 PM by Selteri
Just the first word out of my mouth after reading that article penned in such a ludicrous fashion. Apparently this is a boy who not only has been the subject of some level of brain washing activity in his lifetime but feels the need to foist said brainwashing activity upon others.

While I defend his rights to free speech, that article is the kind of attack and slander work that has been causing nothing but problems for America and her people. In his ranting about "America's God" and "Not mentioning much about Sin and Salvation" this boy has proven that not only is he ignorant about what America is about, he's shown he's ignorant about what we would define as a state sponsored religion.

He even goes so far as to even admit that congress 'added' the words under god by a vote to the congressman's recital of the pledge, making a mockery of the fact that he did by changing the man's choice against his will, denying a US Congressman his own right to free speech and freedom of religion. I guess America isn't such anymore, we should look into an appropriate name change, I wonder if Riechland is available still?
