Here's my theory on Sinclair group banning Nightline
The way the far right conservatives jump up and down over what was a fairly innocuous presentation and the way they say we the US people shouldn't see flag-draped coffins reminds me of EDgar Allen Poe's "The Telltale Heart".
As the psychotic murderer is confronted by the police, his own deeply repressed guilt comes out in the form of his screeching confession. What he takes to be the heartbeat of the murder victim telling on him is actually his own heart.

You've probably seen someone who did something wrong look petulantly and say, "What are you looking at?"

There are certain ones who know the bloodlust of Bush and his merry band of sociopaths is at its heart very wrong, and they are afraid of confronting it every time. THey want to pull up the boards and hide it under the floor.

FOlks, your president is blithely allowing murder, torture, and possibly rape to take place at the hands of the soldiers in Iraq sent to supposedly remove such humiliations from Iraqis.

Our young men and women are dying as part of a quagmire. We, the AMerican people need to know.

If we have a right to know about Michael Jackson's sick behavior, Laci Peterson's death, Martha Stewarts stock sales, etc. we CERTAINLY HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW what our military is doing and who is dying.

1. My thoughts
Sinclair Broadcasting gave $130,000 to BUSHitler and others in the GOP since 2000. --->DRAGNET THEME GOES HERE<---

Also, I am so disgusted with the way this war has been virutally ignored, at best sugar coated, by "the liberal media". Can't even show a flag drapped cofin of someone who should be honored? Can't even read names of SOLDIERS!? This is the most hidoues era of censoreship in the HISTORY of the human race. This is so pathetic. Everyone, especially if you have family in the military, current or former (or like me-my great-uncle was killed on D-DAY, which was a war that was fought cuz, well there was no real other choice! Imagine that, a war with AN EXIT STRAGEY TOO!) should be writing and faxing and calling EVERY LAST PERSON in the Senate and House! We gotta do this. This insanity HAS GOT TO STOP. Before anyone else dies for an illegal war.

One can only hope that histroy books 100 or 200 years from now accurately portray "President" Bozo for what he really is: the WORST President in the HISTORY of the USA. And make sure Bush I is in 2nd place and Raygun is in 3rd. And remember to put BILL CLINTON down as the BEST President!

2. Also
I almost forgot!

>If we have a right to know about Michael Jackson's sick behavior, >Laci Peterson's death, Martha Stewarts stock sales, etc. we >CERTAINLY HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW what our military is doing and who is >dying.

This is the exact same point Randi Rhodes has made, and it's so true.
The media's purpose nowadays isn't to report news objectively, and if you do that, then well! You must be a raving commie pinko librul if you don't suck bush's butt 24/7! Instead, the media obfuscates and deflects the attention of the public. They get us all talking to our family, fiends, co-workers, whatever, about Michael Jackson's melting nose and how much crack Bobby Brown is on this month or a puff piece on Jim Carrey's new movie for 2 hours, or, get the idea?! The more people talk about shit like than, instead of something more substancive like this insane goddamn WAR IN IRAQ!? And I love how the meida insults my intelligence. Like we're too stupid to put THIS huge mystery together? Yeah, lemme get on the fone with Sylock Holmes! Maybe they he help!
