Should FoxNews be blamed for the US torture of Iraqi prisoners?

My understanding is FoxNews is the only TV news the soldiers in Iraq are allowed to watch. Please correct me if this is false.

FoxNews viewers believe Saddam and his regime were behind 9/11 and allied with Al Qaeda.

When Al Qaeda members are captured, FoxNews consistently highlights debate which permits those members to be tortured. "Anything to defeat Al Qaeda. Anything for our security. They have no rights."

2. Not for anything and everything, but supporting the lies and
denying access to any truth definitely ranks up there to treason against country.

9. I didn't say I watch it

The general media has reported FoxNews opinions. That's how I have received the impression they approve of torture.

The general media has shown polls of how out of touch FoxNews viewers are, that they would believe Saddam had something to do with 9/11.

8. Faux and its wrong wing hate radio analogues are responsible for
framing the cultural debate radically to the right side of the envelope.

Their jingoism, prevarication and demagogic propaganda are meant to try to legitimize the extremes of fascist dogma and push rational thought more to the left of the percieved center.

By doing this to the collective unconscious they create the possibility that the war crimes we are seeing perpetrated by our troops will be tolerated by a large, vocal minority of radical wrong wing small minds who will paint anyone questioning the ethics of these as a quiche eating surrender monkey.
