Todays Reuters piece is off by about 191 soldiers killed in Iraq.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Four U.S. soldiers and two members of the Iraqi security forces were killed in separate insurgent attacks in Baghdad and near the southern city of Amara, a senior military official said Sunday.

The deaths take to 545 the number of U.S. troops killed since the U.S. invasion of Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein. More U.S. soldiers were killed during the month of April than during the three-week war that ousted Saddam.

The number is: 736 give or take a couple... Now why would Reuters downplay that number...Hmmmmmmm

2. Are the rest SUICIDES and ACCIDENTS?!
The body of one soldier was found in a chapel. He died of a "non-combat" gunshot wound.

4. Humvee accidents, etc...
Of course they'll never mention why the Humvee went off the road.. The point is, if you're going to tell us how many have been killed in Iraq, you need to tell us the whole number or add a caveat with non-combat deaths...

3. yes "combat" death as opposed to non combat but....

5. I don't think so
I read recently that only those who die IMMEDIATELY in combat are counted!

A creative way for them to fudge the numbers....I'm looking for the link.
