2. If Leno was making him uncomfortable...
...then I can only imagine what Letterman would've done to him.

3. Yeah, that was a hoot! We Tivo'd his reaction to the gay-daughter joke
and he seemed to laugh extra hard at the Kerry hitting bus joke-maybe releasing some tension from having to hold in that fake smile the whole time while he was getting roasted.

Jaw dropped with the Condi-Sharpton joke! Wonder if SHE thought it was funny?

4. He also reinforced the GOP Kerry 'flipflop' myth
Score is even--but he has some making up to do.

5. I'm surprised he did. He embarassed Clinton at one of those
dinners. Clinton just smiled and laughed like everybody else but I know he didn't really care for the joke. It was so bad that Leno apologized right after he said it. Leno showed some dog humping a cheerleaders leg and then he flashed Clinton's picture. I don't remember what the topic was but it was terribly low, imo, that he did that.

6. The whole spectacle made me sick
I don't like seeing Richard Ben-Veniste yukking it up with Condi in her ball gown. DC is just Fraternity Row, I guess. They love to have thier Spring Formal in their fancy gowns. REALLY sickening.

7. Besides Leno, the corresp were sticking it to Bush about press conf
I mean, that whole first vignette about how many press conferences various presidents had and how they handled them, and then showing lame-o. I especially enjoyed what I'm sure was a pointed dig about one-term presidents, showing Bush... then immediately Carter, then Ford:)

Noticed also that a whole lot of the attendees, when they panned the audience, were NOT laughing. Wonder if Ben Affleck likes Leno anymore after that rude "bomb" joke (not that I don't agree, I don't like Bennie, but can't be funny to have it pointed out you star in failure movies).

8. I watched Leno's monologue and
they were all recycled from his show. But he was playing to a whole different audience....many of the jokes didn't get alot of laughs...and I sensed the audience was a bit embarassed...they show the audience many were not laughing....even Leno admitted that he lot the audience several times. * smiled a few times but was not amused. I really don't care how he felt but Leno did a poor job.

11. leno did a poor job?
yeah, maybe if you are looking at the whole comedy thing. but I think leno had an agenda.....call out bush for the shitty things he has done and appear to be bipartisan by cracking one or two on dean.

he made fun of Bush taking so much vacation(bush didn't get the job for th emoney, he got it for the vacation time)

he made fun of Condi and her orwellian language(it isn't a menu, just a list of ......)

I need to find a transcript.
