Are you a Gore fan?
If so please come join us. He may not be running but he is still the elder statesman of the party and I consider him the leader of the party. His speech was amazing and will be remebered for years to come. He may still run or be drafted, but we know he will always speak for us!

1. I am
but I am focused on the 9 candidates that are running. I think Kerry is a Gore type and he is probaly the most underated candidate in this race(media wise).

20. I support Kerry because of Gore
Kerry is the one candidate who reminds me the most of Gore. I think that either would make terrific presidents.

5. Yes, I'm a huge Gore fan
and if I was a woman, I would have his babies, but he clearly reiterated that he's not running. We need to hope he continues to speak out, endorses anyone other than Lieberman, and stays off of small aircraft.

9. Last night I fell in love with him, and wished he had spoken as passionate
and eloquently 4 years ago as he did last night. I am thankful he is on our side, and think that his endorsement will be the shoo in.

16. I wish he would run
He beat the evil monkey once. He could do it again and make no doubt about who won. Loved that speech yesterday. Awesome and soooo accurate.

17. will always be loyal to Gore
Gore is the great general who led us to victory, only to be shot in the back by dishonorable right wing thugs who couldn't win the battle the fair way. I believe that most of us will always feel like loyal soldiers who need to avenge the "war crimes" of sElection 2000.

But Gore has decided not to run. The candidate who I feel is most ideologically similar to Gore is Kerry, who I support, and who I feel is even stronger than Gore on issues that will be important in the election 2004.

If Gore gets into the race, however, I would support him over anyone.

19. I will always show my loyalty to Al Gore.
And I respect his decision to stay out of the 2004 race. I still remember his concession speech. It was riveting. Had tears in my eyes.

22. I am a huge fan
And while I would like to see him in the White House, there are certain factors that complicate that. Actually, in a way he may be far more effective by not running. The Pavlovian response of the Bush administration every time someone criticises them is to claim that it is only because they are running for President. By not running, that deflection is ineffective. My personal hope is that Al Gore will be asked to be part of the new Democratic administration, whoever it may be. Wouldn't he be a great Secretary of State?
