Poll question: How do you view the world, and it's socio/political trends?
Edited on Mon May-03-04 01:09 PM by DarkPhenyx
How do you view society and the effect that the actions which it's agents take have upon general trends?

As always, it is better to discuss your answer thatn to simply post an answer. Even if you choose one of the standard answers from the list.

1. Where did you put the humans?
Humans generate the world and its reality. No humans, no world.

Of course, the universe still exists, but not the Dungeons and Dragons matrix of evaluation.

2. interesting poll
I love the Batman/Superman reference.

Anyway, I went with Batman. It seems far easier for people to do the wrong thing than it is for them to do the right thing, so I think that's the tilt of the world.

7. I'd like to take credit for it, however...
...it a concept I picked up from a History Channel show on the history of the Comic book Superhero. "Comic book Superheros Unmasked" I think was it's name. They were talking about the period in the SM/BM genre where Superman was down in South America running black-ops for Reagan and Batman was fighting against the Gov't...or something like that.

4. Poor description of anarchism
Most anarchists believe in ordered society, it's just hierarchy and coercion they have a problem with.

6. Changed to Iconoclast.

Fair enough. I would posit, however, that the type of Anarchist you describe is no true Anarchist at all. My opinion only, but it's kinda like someone who claims to be homosexual but occassionally sleeps with the oposite sex because they enjoy that too.

5. Other
Buddhist: civilization and society are emerging naturally
from the void and no particular action is required to
create or maintain them.
