*sigh* I'm "troubled" by shrub's upcoming visit to Ohio
Out of the total job loss under shrub, ohio's lost roughly 10%.
Last time he was here he was saying how the manufacturing job growth is "sluggish at best". Ha...how about non-existant. oh, I forgot he doesn't know those words...

failure.

13. I'm near Charleston!
And it still stinks here from his visit a month ago! The smell is partly Shelly Capito though I think! You need a cast iron stomach when the Bushit gets deep in a state near you! Bush had 300 suck asses inside and a thousand protesters outside when he was here! He looked skeerd!

4. Don't try to protest
Because if you do, you'll end up a few blocks away from where Bush is.

At no time is Bush allowed to see people who protest his policies. And when Rice/Rove/Cheney et al read the selected news bits to him, they skip over the bad stuff.

6. I disagree.
Protest his ass, alone, if needed, on some streetside corner where his entourage might just be passing by. Who knows? You might end up on Time's cover.

7. Failure is not an option
try all you can. Protest from 40 blocks away if you have to. The yelling will be heard.

9. But the reason to protest isn't to have Bush see you.
We all know that has no effect on the Dear Leader. The reason to protest is so that people that think like us and people that are leaning towards questioning Bush and the media can know that there are others out there who aren't fooled by all the propaganda. It's a great feeling to see the thumbs up signs and the cars honking their horns in support and know that other people are thinking for themselves and not letting themselves be told what to think. We can all support each other and let our voices be heard. At some point there will be enough critical mass to change things.

17. Yes, make sure you never, ever, ever, ever protest.
Edited on Tue May-04-04 01:59 AM by VolcanoJen
There's no point, you'll be miles away from the source. Resistance is futile. And, as an aside, Arbeit macht Frei.

:eyes:

By the way, intrepid Cincinnati protestors sucessfully prevented Bush supporters from leaving the great Cincinnati landmark, Union Terminal, during the now-infamous Cincinnati Speech, which outlined his Prelude to War. "They" wouldn't let us get near the Terminal, but as soon as the speech began, "they" jetted, rather predictably, and "we" swooped in. By the way, the Bush supporters threw donuts. Seriously. Pastries.

It was a beautiful event, and a victory for free speech. But, please don't protest, because resistance is futile.

Don't be such a "Downer Debbie," Ezlivin. It's OK. Protest loudly, proudly, strongly. SPEAK. Do so at your own peril. If you're not risking something, what's the damned point?

on edit: Added important, relevant, and encouraging Cincinnati War Speech tale

10. And his visits are expensive
He just came to my city in Wisconsin. It cost taxpayers about $400,000. It was considered a business trip and not a campaign trip so the taxpayers have to pay for all of it.
