Fed up with astroturf.

As far as im concerned DU has become infested w. astroturf. Im not singling out any candidate here,...it applys to all candidates, I think.
There are just too many gushy posts for this or that candidate. Just too many attack posts, Just too many uncritical idolatry. And way way too much spin.

DU, for me, remains a f airly entertaining online forum. But its becoming less and less a good place to discuss candidates and campaigns due tot the astroturf here. I have to say tho that the astroturf is more evident on the candidates and campaigns forum that in GD.

I expect to be flamed on this by people getting all huffy and saying that they are not astroturf. I really dont give fig for their claims. The fact is thare is enough special pleading here to make supicous of manipulation of publice opinion.

But really, back at 'cha, who gives a rotten fig? Someone holding a gun to your head, forcing you to read the candidate threads? Nobody is allowed to have any opinion about anything? BORING!!!

so you and the rest of the astroturf can take a hike.
