with the medicare prescription drug cards that are out today.
in the next couple of weeks just do an informal survey of those folks you know that qualify and see just what they think of these cards that they have to buy. how do they feel about the process and the choices offered, the savings and convenience, the user friendliness of the system. what is their level of satisfaction?
after giving it a rough going over for the meds i take and what my mother-in-law takes, it's going to be a very cumbersome process that will actually cost money compared to online canadian pharmacies and a manufacturer's discount card i currently use.
i do believe this could be another issue that could bite the shrub in the ass. try navigating your way through this and figuring out what card is best for you is, we're told, as easy as calling 1.800.medicare. try it. go ahead. (a little tip here - ya might wanna order that pizza first...)
1.800.medicare will tell you which card is the cheapest for you *at this time.* the kicker here is that the pharmacos can change their prices anytime they choose, and my understanding is that the consumers are limited to changing cards twice a year. sweet, huh, if you're a pharmaco?
