On CBS this evening, they mention John O'Neill's "press conference"
with the veterans who suppossedly are saying Kerry is Unfit to be CIC. A woman representing the Kerry campaign said that many whose names appear on that list didn't know their names were being used. This might get interesting.
However, I dislike a comment they made after showing parts of Kerry's commercial and some snide comments about Kerry comparing him to Dukakis (they also mentioned that Clinton was behind Bush Pere by 10 points and went to win). They said that candidates that seem to have "troubled" campaigns might still win. The implication is that Kerry's campaign is in trouble. I don't see where they get this meme but they use it even after they show a VERY GOOD commercial for Kerry.

1. How many people showed up who saw Bush in Alabama?
None? Gee, what a surprise!

2. Dukakis

The Dukakis move was Shrub waltzing around in that flight suit. He looked like a total dork. I'm actually surprised Rove let him do it. But I guess their denial about the war knows no bounds. Had the war really been over a year ago, it may have worked better than it is.

Poor Dukakis. I really liked him, but when I saw him riding around in that tank I wanted to crawl in a hole and pretend it never happened. You'd think people who spend their careers crafting PR would know better. I was barely out of high school and I did.

3. When the Kerry campaign said letter might be fraud, CBS shouldn't
have run the story until the confirmed whether that was the case.

5. I thought John O'Neill died on September 11.
What is the reference to? Is it a different John O'Neill than the FBI guy at WTC? Paul O'Neill?
