How does this new Conservative Underground (CU) differ from Free Republic?

I'm seeing posts here on DU referring to "CU" and that there are folks over there trashing us. Why is this "CU" place trashing us any different from "Free Republic."

What's the big deal about that place? :shrug:

NightTrain and I right now; I actually held my nose and registered so I could reply to their bullshit. They are OBSESSED with DU, and it's frightening how much they know about all of us. They don't discuss any issues, it's all about trashing DUers. They're having a ball with me right now. I'd post the link, but I'm too pissed off right now.

They're calling me an unfit mother, ugly piece of trailer trash bum, castigating me for "indoctrinating" my son, mocking Dean (NightTrain) and I, etc., etc., the picture of me that's going around is just horrible; Jonnyblitz took it at the end of the march in D.C., when we were all tired and sweaty and I was just clowning around, I look HORRIBLE!

This is very strange. How do they know things about DU'ers unless they were here long enough to interact with us... This is creepy to me.

It's full of people who were banned from DU for being freeptards. They have a "Worst of DU" forum.

CU is better than FR because it doesn't look like something ported off a MicroVAX like FR does.

My bet is that if you were to investigate the FR and CU membership rosters, you'd find a lot of the same people.

It's been around a couple years.

CU allows liberal view points. FR dosen't. CU also allows conservative viewpoints which DU dosen't. Yeah, they spend a lot of time bashing DU, which is stupid and the sign of a shallow mind which can't think of anything intelligent to say so decides to go with "let's laugh at the silly liberals" in order to feel important. A lot of the anti-FR posts here are of the same ilk.

CU is a pretty decent site really, or was when I hung out there. Msot of the people are intelligent and at least willing to listen to your argument even if, in the end, they still don't agree with your position or your logic.

Go there right now and see how they're trashing me (I registered just to reply to their bullshit), and their threads devoted to nothing but trashing other DUers, and you'll feel differently. These people are pathetic, they obsess over us like there's nothing else in their lives. Oh, wait a minute..................

so I checked it out, and the front page was almost entirely devoted to DU threads, DU posters and other DU topics. The site was really slow, so I only had a look at a couple of threads...but I would think these CUers would be bored to tears. What a boring and sad form of entertainment.

that CU has some banned "Freeper/Trolls" who have created a website to attack DU and I know that the "far Left" of DU has a website for those who were banned for being "disrupters" for ...well whatever, so now we have Two Websites going with folks who were former DU'ers???

What does this mean? I only ask as a political observer. It means something...but what??
