I would like to know
why all this hype about the abuses of Iraqi prisoners?

How about shock and awe and ten and thousands of innocents murdered?

How about the unprovoked criminal aggression in the first place?

Why they care about Arab opinion anyway since neon cons have already planned the clean break to push democracy into their throats soon and I don't think they will let Arabs opinion get in the way .

besides Kerry has declared his forceful allegiance to the butcher of Israel ,so no matter who is in the WH , nothing will change as far as the United states of Israel are concerned.

1. because
the american public doesn't get to SEE the annihilation of the iraqis' country -- the dead bodies, the maimed, the now mass graves filled.

war is sanitized for america. these pictures, though, thankfully got caught on tape

2. Because they are not American fetuses...those innocents aren't.
It's much easier to defend the right to life of an unborn American than the child of a possible terrorist...er...insurgent.

3. As near as I can figure kera,
at some point in people's lives the light bulb comes on and the patriotic gauze bandages fall away and some truth seeps into consciousness and displaces the rhetoric and falsehoods. It's an epiphany of sorts. Finding out you were wrong about something doesn't have to be painful though, it allows for a new awareness. I think these photos sparked that epiphany in a large percentage of the war supporters because it goes so against their world view of America as the "White Hats" and "The Good Guys".

4. you know Jim
I was appalled this morning when I met a group of pairs I have not seen for sometime .I asked matter of fact what they thought about the pictures of prisoners, they were 11 of them and NO NO one has seen them! Those are high educated people , I believe that only alike DU members care .....

So this may explain why * is getting boosted in the polls when we in DU think the gate of hope is ajar.. I am more disgusted by Kerry for his servile support to the butcher of Israel than with the pictures of tortured prisoners - bottom line we are as powerless as iraqi, captive of Zionism....and we deserve our faith
