7. Wilson says Saddam could have been overthrown without war

He says you had to interrupt the line of succession. Saddam was 67 years old. He's talking about some kind of operation to accomplish this would have been better than a war.

We did not have good clandestine presence in Iraq. Wilson does not have a problem with the UN resolution, etc. In his experience the way to get Saddam to yield was to be very tough and be prepared to use force. He believes we should have credible threat of force, but there are different ways to use force.

This is a blunder of historic and strategic consequences. We're on the verge of strategic catastrophe. U.S. is isolated, hated.

We ought to invite int'l organizations to monitor or take over operations in jails, for example.

We've had sanctions and flyover and controlled the airspace, but even so we couldn't even manage the invasion very well. So other, better armed countries like N. Korea are getting the message they don't have to be afraid of us.

12. Wilson brought up some important and disturbing points

This ship of fools we have running the Country has created new problems who ever is President will have to deal with. I have to believe President Kerry will be a huge improvement. He has enough experience to listen to the people charged with ensuring our Nation`s defence. The current Admin. has been too arrogant to listen to anyone who does not buy into all thier foolishness.
