Why is most of the media calling it "prisoner abuse" instead of "torture"?
I believe it to be torture and humiliation. Why do most of the media persist in saying it's simply "prisoner abuse". I've only seen a few (mostly local channels) calling it torture.
I'm especially upset when they say they are "interrogating" when these things "occur".
:wtf:
Are these folks simply mincing words? Can anyone explain this to me?
after hearing what Kieth Oberman said on his show tonight which is repeating in ten minutes is that the white house said to call it abuse and rumsfeld said so on his conference also today. go figure
Torture sounds worse than abuse, even though both are horrid. Remember when the misadministration started calling suicide bombers "homocide bombers"? This was when Ari Fleischer was still the press secretary. The only ones to pick up on the alterative phrase were the newsmodels at FAUX. They do a lot of word switching, you know-like calling coffins "transfer tubes"? They are full of shit. No minced words there.
they're terrorists and if you are not with us, you are a terrorist and sometimes bad thing happen to bad people. So, instead of Iraq having freedom fighters, they have terrorist.
