3. Imho, you have to change to 'mission' of the corporation.....
As it stands now, the sole 'mission/task' of the corporation is to make a profit for it's investors. I think it's done EXCEEDINGLY well in fulfilling it's obligations. <applause><applause> You've done very well, Mr./Ms. Corporation (non-person, who is technically/legally viewed as a 'person').

HOWEVER, (albeit I may be getting a little bit 'murky' here....I'm still learning) a companies obligations are an interest in it's employeees and it's customers.

The problem with globalization is that if a corporation stretches itself (and its interests overseas, NO LONGER has interest in its country of origin....it has 'interest' in all the country's with which it does business).

4. Put teeth back in the Government...
A few things, one is to Federalize the Corporate Charter, with the interstate commerce clause, giving the federal government powers over even multinational corporations. Next is to revamp the entire Chartering system, MAKE IT LIMITED AGAIN!

Next is to state clearly in the charters that if the corporation in question was to deviate AT ALL from its business, or uses illegal or unethical business practices. Do not take them to court, simply revoke the charters, any assets of the company goes to the shareholders (Minus owed taxes), and they could theoratically apply for a charter again.

Third thing I would do is make any manager or CEO criminally liable due to negligence leading to death or injury of workers or consumers. Try them for murder and put them in prison if guilty. Actually enforce the law equally and fairly.

Fourth thing would be to empower Unions, and make scab hiring illegal, any company that will not deal fairly with Unions, and tries to break the law, or even bend it, revoke the charter. I lost patience with these damn organizations that do not pay taxes, pay substandard wages, and operate above the law. FUCK THEM!

Also as a last note, any company that tries to move overseas to avoid such business regulations is to not conduct business here at all. We have one of the largest consumer bases in the world, I say we use that as bargaining power, before we lose it, for once we do, then the government will be powerless to stop corporations from running our country.

Is this possible, not likely with the system we have, is it practical, well, it worked for the first 100 years of the country's history, I don't see why it wouldn't work now.
