MSNBC.com running anti-Hillary Clinton Ads
I went online tonight at approximately 11:45 p.m. PDT to check the news on MSNBC.com. I was shocked to see the largest banner ad on MSNBC (running directly under the main story graphic, "Church Deal Offered") that read, in enormous block letters, "Stop Hillary's Book." I clicked on the ad, which went to:

http://www.newsmax.com/hillarycards/242.shtml

This site (part of the notoriously right-wing NewsMax.com) advertises a deck of Hillary Clinton playing cards -- "The Deck of Hillary" -- that promise to reveal such gems as Ms. Clinton's "Outrageous racist and anti-Semitic rantings," among others.

Since there is no longer any integrity in our corporate media, I shouldn't be surprised. Nevertheless, I find it extremely irresponsible and distasteful that a mainstream news outlet such as MSNBC.com would allow such politically-based, outrageously biased advertising on their site.

I wrote an "outraged citizen" e-mail to letters@MSNBC.com, but this is yet another reminder that the last reliable sources of news are NPR, BBC, Buzzflash and, of course, DU.

3. The Best Part...
Here's the best part of that page you link to:

"Even the liberal media can’t ignore NewsMax Magazine – which has been cited on “Meet the Press with Tim Russert,” CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and many other outlets."

Yep, FOX News has often been considered the "Liberal" media. And considering how MSNBC's Scarborough Country is one of the most conservative, propaganda spewing Right Wing shows on the air, that's the most ridiculous claim ever. Why not call the Religious Stations that slam Democrats on purpose "Liberal" too.

Just because it has a media outlet doesn't make it Liberal.

This is going to be the problem with the 2004 Presidential race. With Clear Channel using it's 1200 radio stations and various billboard connections, and the many other conservative owned outlets refusing equal ad time for the Democrats, we're facing a tough fight to beat Bush's $200-300 million (that he'll pocket) and the (given free to him) ad time he'll obtain.

5. I need to know something
Why is it that Ebay has to pull images of Bush* and newsmax can get away with this. Seriously, I would like to know.

6. MSRNC
MSNBC was once, generally speaking, a non partisan network. With the success of the right-wing Fox News Channel, MSNBC has clearly made a move to the right in order to imitate them. MSNBC is now "Fox-lite". MSNBC usually give Democrats a hard time, while being congenial and friendly to the Repulican/right wing side.

IMO, channels like MSNBC are a bigger problem than FOX. Everyone knows FOX is right wing, but MSNBC is center-right while claiming to be centrist/impartial and this is much more effective in slipping their bias past an unsuspecting audience.
