His appearance on anyone's airwaves makes all things worse.

They typically can't speak English either.

I hope the translators can a) make sense of Bush and b) translate it to make it sound a lot better than it really does.

Many educated viewers will have some knowledge of English. If the translation is in subtitles & they're allowed to hear his voice, their disgust will only grow.

I surprised they don't have a Dubya version of it for just such occasions - would surely do a better job than Bush ever could.

They are undoubtedly extremely mistrustful of US intentions right now. $hrub trying to reassure them is only going to look all the more suspicious in their eyes.

This cabal must admit that this war is over now. There is nothing left that can be accomplished by staying in Iraq, other than more death and destruction. The possibility of "winning hearts and minds" went down the crapper the day the Iraqis saw the torture pics.
