1. Hey, the US isn't perfect,

but c'mon, now. It's a long, long way from being "totalitarian". Even with * in the WH. Otherwise, there wouldn't even BE a DU.

A totalitarian state cares less about what people think because they control behavior. A democratic state can't control behavior, so they control thought. DimSon told us which kind of regime he's running.

On edit:
information + education + intelligence --> thought
thought + need/want --> motivation
motivation + opportunity --> behavior

Now, take a look and see where the controls are going. (Think Patriot Act.)

6. Sorry, I misunderstood, you

were talking about in the future, a sort of "slippery slope" argument. Right? Because you just can't make the case for right this minute. And the Patriot Act does not, and cannot control "thought". Hell, even in the Soviet Union, there were free thinkers who longed to be in the good old totalitarian US of A.

7. Just how long do crimes - hidden behind "national security"

go unprosecuted before the term is totalitarian is official? Wouldn't that be the correct word to use when the government gets away with illegal activities and is not held accountable to the people?

who also happens to be the brother of the pResident, let's it be known that if would be a good idea, if the big fat Rat that ate Orlando, censors a particular movie because it may piss off the selected one and they comply, then you live in a totalitarian state.
