What the press didn't tell you about Bush crowd in Cincinnati ....
They must have thought it wasn't important? It wasn't newsworthy. We will just show the pictures to the American people of 10,000 adoring fans of Mr Bush and they can decide for themselves just how popular this guy is? We report - you decide?

Unfortunately, they failed to report the biggest part of the story. Yes, there were 10,000 people cheering Mr. Bush. Yes, it was all a very positive reception. But, they were all specially invited to cheer on their favorite leader. They got personal invitations. So the reception was not necessarily indicative of how the majority might feel about Mr Bush.

The whole purpose was one of propaganda. Produce pictures that can create an impression that is not necessarily true and get the mainstream media to go along with your scam. As predictable as the sunrise, there are the networks and the hardworking reporters doing their damnedest to assist Mr Bush and Mr Rove in their endeavor. But, the most important part of the story was not told. The media must be assumed to be a propaganda arm of the Republican Party.

1. I saw a report on MSNBC
:puke: from the bus trip (where the chimp used a plane) and there was a crowd of 1,200 people and the anchors were commenting on how large the crowd was! They were so impressed with the turnout! I kid you not. This after hearing there were 3,000 at the latest Kerry speech.

I just laughed and laughed. They have no shame.

2. Also buried in the news
was the fact that his bus tour--riding through the manufacturing ravaged towns in Ohio and Michigan-- was in a bus that was made in Canada.

8. Yes, I saw that too.
And the irony is driving through Michigan, thousands of jobs lost, auto manufacturing headquarters in Canadian made bus. I wonder how that dipship O'Reilly feels about that since he is on a mission to boycott Canada!

4. It's hardly an assumption! The big five republican owned corporate media.
Edited on Wed May-05-04 10:16 AM by Zinfandel
MONEY...what's it's all about...tax breaks, and tax incentives and FCC legislation the Bush administration keeps hanging over the right-wing CEO, presidents, editors media heads. Only five media outlets 80% plus of the American people get their "news" (censored news is much more like it) from thse Bush liars.

Shit, Disney (who owns ABC) refuses to distribute Michael Moore's new film ("Fahrenheit 9-11") because the film kicks Bush in the balls and tell the truth about Bush & 9-11, in so much Disney is afraid to lose it's tax breaks for it's theme parks in Florida, because Jebbie Bush it seems is putting the pressure on Disney.

Money!

5. Did you know...
...that there were only hand-picked followers of Bush at his speeches. The "common-folk" weren't allowed within a mile of the sites of the speeches.

That's our fearless leader! :puke:

12. I wonder how many "supporters" were paid to go there
Meaning this:

A number of employees are "encouraged" to go to the rally. Maybe they were "given" a day off from work to attend it, since the offices would be closed to attend. Those that weren't attending would be docked the day's pay (and that day's pay would be "donated" as a soft contribution).

Also, those who expressed disinterest in the rally were told of the "disinterest" in keeping their job.

10. They've been handpicking the crowds
all along. Occasionally somebody has slipped through, it's part of the three pronged plan. Only speak to hand picked audiences, only speak in safe repug territory, make sure the repug press spins the appearance.

13. Keep in mind...
...Michigan is one of the most depressed areas in the country. They had to handpick their audience or everyone would have been screaming "Outsource Bush!"

:)
