Why does Biden protect Bush? I just saw on MSBNC a clip from Today
show this morning where Biden wants Rumsfeld to resign...and then he said "who is in charge? it is not the President. He bases his decisions on recommendations from his staff...blah...blah...blah." (not exact quote but that was the gist of it)

2. Biden was a hawk on the war
but now he realizes what a mistake it was. However, like most politicos, he cannot say he made a strategic mistake, so he attacks Bush on the level of tactics, accusing him of ineptitude.

Having voted for this stupid war in the first place, Biden can't do much else.
