Good point....what is the difference?

Dead babies and human torture....

I think it lies in the perception that most people had that in War when bombs are dropped on civilians there will be dead babies.

We all understand that.

However, I for did not think that our soldiers would obey orders to torture POWs. or kill them. Apparently it did sit well with some soldiers as the supplied the photos to the Mirror and CBS.

That strikes deep into the not only the entire war and it's haphazard justification and execution but also it vidily illustrates that America the Beautiful is in reality, America the Beautiful Thug.

As a society we lack any collective notion of real compassion.

Sure we have our "yellow ribbon, candlelight vigil" brand compassion but is that real compassion, or just a cheap facade?
